Konami Metal Gear Arcade 3D

Konami has announced that the hit game series Metal Gear Solid will be available to play in Japanese arcades soon. The official name of the game will be "Metal Gear Solid Arcade 3D". The new game was first shown at E3 in the United States last year. The game will be based around a tactical online action platform but the real standout is that players will need to wear 3D glasses while playing. Konami is calling the glasses "head controller" and the arcade will also feature a 5.1 surround sound experience.

The gameplay will center around the fact that players will need to cooperate and communicate with each other using microphones in the cabinet. The players will need to work together to complete the multiplayer missions.

This all sounds really cool but as of now there is not an official street date for the arcade. Watch this spot for further updates.

The really cool thing may just be the head tracking technology pictured at the end of this article. The headset will add stereoscopic effects as well as head tracking. The player will be able to aim at targets and command movement from the headset. We can't wait to try this one out!
